Time To Step Aside To Rest Awhile

For the past couple years I've made it my goal to publish three posts per week. Requisite research and reading took many hours besides. And that without any breaks.

Now it is time to step aside for a few weeks. In that, I'm following our LORD's advice about rest. Not only did He command the Sabbath, a day of rest each week for prayer and family, but He built into the life of ancient Israel  festival weeks, times when family and friends got together to hear God's Word, worship, praise, celebrate and eat with family and friends.

Here's what we read in Mark's account of Jesus and his disciples after they heard about the murder of John the Baptist.
Then the apostles gathered to Jesus and told Him all things, both what they had done and what they had taught. And He said to them, "Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while." For there were many coming and going, and they did not even have time

to eat. So they departed to a deserted place in the boat by themselves. - Mar 6:30-32 NKJV
I am stepping aside for the month of August to be with my wife, to travel, to visit friends and relatives and to rest a while.

See you in September.
