Serendipity and Questions About 9/11

Life is full of surprises.

When we started our trip to New York in preparation for a week-long cruise past the Canadian Maritime Provinces and down the St. Lawrence River to Quebec City, Sylvia and I had no idea of whom we would meet and the conversations that would ensue.

In New York we visited the site of the former World Trade Center to see the progress being made and to stop in at the visitors' center where detailed photos and presentations of the events of that unforgettable tragedy are portrayed. Frankly, we wiped tears from our eyes again and again while there.

We embarked from New York on the MSC Poesia for a week-long cruise to Quebec. Photos from that trip are available on my Facebook home page. We are now spending a week exploring the countryside around Quebec City. On one trip east along the St. Lawrence River we stopped to take in a spectacular view and met a local painter. In the course of our conversation we decided to purchase one of his paintings to take home with us.

In the course of our brief conversation with the painter Jaques Boisvert we learned about the work of David Ray Griffin, an emeritus professor who has strongly promoted the theory that 9/11 is all a fake and was actually a planned conspiracy of the United States government. Neither Sylvia nor I had ever heard of Griffin. It is not the purpose of this blog to prove or disprove such theories. I only point you to some of the sites that continue to carry on this wild conversation. Personally, I cannot even begin to imagine how 9/11 could be fake. For me it falls into the realm of theories that New York bankers are actually reptilian humanoids from outer space. I leave it up to you to explore the whole matter.

As I said, life is full of surprises. And yet, behind it all is the wondrous hand of the Lord who guides and leads His children.
